Military Band-Aid

Tournament Date: 10-14 June 2026 @ Sky View Complex & Cottonwood Complex

Entry Fee: $550, which includes a dozen balls. Additional balls are $6 apiece or $70 per dozen.

Rules of Play:

United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) rules with these exceptions.

Game Format:

  1. A pre-game coin flip will determine the home and visiting teams, EXCEPT the Championship. The team coming out of the winner’s bracket will have choice. A coin flip will take place if we go to the “IF” game.
  2. Game time will be Varsity A- 70 minutes, Varsity B- 65 minutes, Women & Intramural- 60 minutes. The Varsity combined will be 70 minutes. Time limit will remain for all games to include the Championship games. All teams should be ready to play 30 minutes before scheduled game time. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  3. Extra Innings- The last recorded out will go to 2nd base and we’ll play one pitch, OPEN inning.
  4. Run Rule: 20 after 3, 15 after 4, and 10 after 5. Run rule is in place for ALL games to include the Championship. NO EXCEPTIONS….Flip Flop Rule is in effect.
  5. A courtesy runner may be used each inning. The courtesy runner can be any player on the roster. If the same player gets on multiple times the same runner may run again in that inning. The pitcher may have a courtesy runner any time and that doesn’t count as the one per inning.
  6. Home Runs: Varsity A- 12, Varsity B- 6, Intramural- 3, the Varsity combined is 10 home runs/game; (hit & sit)
  7. No exposed shin guards in the batter’s box or on the base paths. If a batter steps in the box with exposed shin guards, a “strike” will be called on the batter.
  8. NO BAT FLIPS! A batter that “flips” a bat up and over the height of their head will be ejected, see “m” below.
  9. All Game balls MUST be purchased from the Band-Aid Staff. It’s the pitcher’s responsibility to check the specs on the ball. This is the ONLY BALL ALLOWED to be used.
  10. Bats- All bats MUST have the USSSA stamp. All bats MUST be 240, NO 220’s allowed.
  11. Home Team has the official book.
  12. You may play for ONE team ONLY, NO EXEMPTIONS
  13. Ejections will be dealt with by the Tournament Director and UIC to determine if that player will be dismissed for one game, remainder of the tournament, or the remainder of the weekend.

PARK RULES:

  1. Outside alcohol is not allowed in the complex. Drinking is also prohibited in the parking lot. You will be on your own if the local authorities are patrolling the area.
  2. There is NO SMOKING allowed in the complex, except for the designated areas.
